BIOGRAPHY

Vanessa Sirard is a modern day impressionist artist that specializes in acrylic fantasy landscape paintings. Her highly saturated works are filled with sunsets, clouds and oceans of impressionist brushstrokes with sometimes hints of gold leafing. Inspired by artists such as Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh and Gustave Klimt, her work transports you to an ethereal world of colorful sceneries.

After graduating in 2008 from the Artistic Excellence program at De La Salle high school in Ottawa, she briefly pursued her studies in Graphic Design at La Cite Collegiale from 2008 to 2009.

In 2013, she resumed her education in visual arts and obtained a certificate in Fine Arts at Algonquin College and graduated with a 3.9/4 GPA; joining the Dean's Honour List.

She's a past Art Battle participant; Ottawa's live painting competition, and has worked for Wallack's Limited, Michael's Arts & Craft store, as well as The National Gallery of Canada.

Sirard has exhibited and sold her work in some of Ottawa's well established and recognized art venues such as: the Arts Court, the Orpheus theatre, SAW Gallery and Algonquin's General Arts & Science Showcase.

She is currently taking the time to work on a new body of works; to pursue a career further into the Ottawa and Gatineau arts community.
